FROM SEACOAST ONLINE: Fair Tide, the nonprofit organization committed to ending homelessness on the Seacoast, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a sold-out fundraising Thursday that brought businesses and residents together to raise money to help address the growing problem of homelessness.
The auction and dinner at The View at Pepperrell Cove raised more than $30,000 that will go toward providing affordable housing and supportive services for people exiting homelessness according to Fair “This was a record-breaking fundraising event for us,” said Tide Executive Director Emily Flinkstrom.
She thanked Fair Tide’s sponsors, including the lead sponsors, Kennebunk Savings and the Pepperrell Cove Group, who donated the space and led the catering efforts.
“We had auction and food donations from 55 area businesses, which enabled us to create a memorable evening where we raised a glass to Fair Tide and unveiled our plans for creating more resources for those in need,” Flinkstrom said.
